Bastet Noir is a sustainable clothing brand creating made-to-order designs that tailor to specific client measurements. It works with a community of women single parents in North Macedonia to produce fabulous clothing.

The clothing label makes personalized fashion pieces, dresses, pants, jumpsuits, blazers, and more, with a Zero Waste policy. Each piece is designed to embrace every woman's body type, fit, flatter, and follow all body shapes and sizes.

Founded by Daniela Milosheska in 2013, Bastet Noir aims to make the world a better place, one woman at a time. Every item purchased contributes to the welfare of artisan seamstresses and the education of their children.

Sustainability Practices

"With every single one of your purchases you're constantly inspiring, empowering, and lifting up our small community of women single parents and we're eternally thankful for that."

Bastet Noir believes in consuming fashion responsibly. Every piece is produced when a customer orders it. The clothing label strives to eliminate waste and make high-quality fashion pieces.

Bastet Noir uses deadstock fabrics to make its clothes. It responsibly sources discarded materials from production factories around North Macedonia.

Today, the fashion industry has a catastrophic impact on the environment. The way most clothes are produced isn't sustainable or ethical. It's important now more than ever to take massive action to reduce waste, pollution, and carbon emissions.

Bastet Noir follows a more inclusive and regenerative approach to clothing production. It uses discarded fabrics that other designers, fashion studios, and garment factories would normally send to landfills.

Bastet Noir is known for creating transformative opportunities for women. The ethical fashion brand empowers a local community of women as a solution to end poverty.

Bastet Noir manufactures all its garments in North Macedonia. It reinvests its profits to fund the growth of the women-owned businesses that produce its clothes.

However, the brand doesn't present any certification or state if audits are conducted to ensure ethical and sustainable production, good working conditions, social and labor standards, health, safety, and other important rights for workers in its supply chain.

Bastet Noir doesn't use any exotic animal skin, or hair, fur, angora. But it uses wool and silk to manufacture many of its clothes.

Sustainability Goals

Bastet Noir doesn't show any measurement of its water usage, pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, or waste across its supply chain. It doesn't have any clear sustainability goals, science-based targets, or timeline to improve in the future either.
