Apnée is a French sustainable swimwear brand founded by two passionate divers in 2017. It created its first capsule collection in 2019 and now offers a complete collection of men's swimwear.

The brand transforms ocean waste into new fabrics used to make swimwear, including recycled swim trunks. It finds ocean pollution very concerning and hopes to change the social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry in the long term.

Apnée partners with Seaqual, a Spanish initiative and collaborative community of individuals, organizations, and companies that collect, sort, and transform marine plastic in Europe.

The swimwear label designs its printed swim shorts with a sustainable process based on three criteria: quality, durability, and respect for the environment.

Apnée uses a lot of recycled materials, particularly recycled polyester made from plastic waste. The upcycled marine plastic fiber from Seaqual offers savings of up to 40% water and 50% energy with a reduced carbon footprint of 60%.

Apnée also supports beach cleanups organized b the French organization Surfrider by donating one euro for every pair of swim trunks purchased.

Apnée uses leather to create its accessories. Leather is a material commonly used by fashion brands. However, leather production is cruel and unnecessary. There are better alternatives that protect people, animals, and the planet.
